He wanted something nice for his wife’s birthday. Not just pretty — actually right. No taxis. No wasted money getting to the party. Just the right resort, the right location, and $200+ back in his pocket. Here’s exactly how it went.

Jay hit me up wanting to plan an amazing birthday getaway for his wife. He wanted it to be nice — said he was okay splurging a little. But here’s where my job got interesting.
Nice doesn’t always mean right.
My job wasn’t just to find something pretty with good reviews. My job was to make sure it was nice AND had the energy his wife actually wanted. Because what’s a birthday trip if you’re spending half the night in a taxi trying to get to where the real party is?
Jay was looking at Jamaica. Montego Bay specifically. Now Riu is my top choice in Montego Bay — always. But Riu requires a minimum of 5 nights in the summer and Jay didn’t want to stay that long. Completely understandable. Four nights was the move.
So we found a jewel.

That last part is everything. No taxis. No splitting up the group at 11 PM trying to figure out how to get to the next spot. S Hotel sits smack in the center of the Hip Strip in Montego Bay — almost premium, almost luxury, right in the middle of all of it. The accommodations are not lacking. AT ALL.
Jay also had the excursions already mapped out for her. He came prepared. I just made sure the foundation was solid before he built on top of it.
