You are now relaxed knowing you have a seat on the plane and a room blocked off at the resort with your name on it.

But….Wait….

Here’s where most travelers begin to relax, when they should be validating their purchase.

Most travelers will put their hard earned money down on a getaway and barely know how their room will look.

They trust their travel agent did their job, but the traveler still should have a bit of curiosity about where they will be sleeping during their dream getaway. ( I know I do)

Don’t be like the travelers I described above.

Don’t wait till a week before your getaway to start caring about the details of the getaway you purchased, it’s too late to make changes then.

YOUR FLIGHTS

Go to the airlines website and look up your flight info.

You won’t be able to check in just yet, but you can start giving them your passport information and all that fun stuff before your check in time.

This may take a day or two after you book to access it on the airlines website.

On your confirmed trip summary see your flight confirmation number which is a five digit letter code.

EXAMPLE HERE:👇🏽

Use that airline confirmation code to access your flight info on the airlines website along with your last name.

YOUR RESORT

Next, go over to the hotels website and look at your room category you chose when you booked.

It’s located on the trip summary.

EXAMPLE HERE👇🏽

The hotel should have it labeled the same as on your trip summary.

If not, try clicking on the room type on your trip summary and details should pop up.

Also, check out all the free amenities and activities the resorts offer by clicking on all the words with blue writing. (Those are links)

Or you can go to the hotel’s website and read what’s all included with your stay.

Some resorts post their weekly itineraries of events and shows on their sites so you will know before you arrive what you want to do before you leave.

Lastly, make sure you go over the insurance you have purchased, if you purchased any.

Click the travel protection link on your itinerary and it should spell out whats included in the insurance and how it works.

Speaking of insurance…

I will go over that in another email or blog later.

Let’s celebrate because you are finally getting away.

You are all booked and ready to go have a blast on your getaway.

Peace and Love,
